Audition Information
Membership in
the orchestra is open by audition to qualified adults and students who will
rehearse under the guidance of area professional musicians. Those wishing to join the orchestra will be
asked to play an audition which should include one prepared piece of your
choosing, and sight reading of provided music.
Audition times are scheduled on the same night as the first rehearsal
for each concert, unless otherwise instructed.
The rehearsal
schedule is set by the Music Director after carefully considering the demands
of each concert. Most rehearsals are on
Monday nights, with an occasional Thursday night. Dress rehearsals usually are scheduled on the
Saturday morning before the concert.
Most concerts are on Sunday afternoons, with an occasional Saturday
